August 11, 2017 Warm, Cool and Fearlessness
Drawing objects that truly inspire me, I find myself feeling free to play and experiment. I don’t worry about the results because I’m happy nurturing that space of inspiration without caring about the success of the drawing. It is within that frame of mind that I make space to learn new techniques and to discover new possibilities. Insects, machines, plants and pipes never let me down when it comes to getting into that zone of being inspired.
While painting this morning’s dala of the Hémiptères Auchénorrhynques I focused on using neutralized warm and cool pigments of orange and blue hues.
