Last weekend I taught a pen and ink workshop in Columbia, Maryland at the Four Gates Wellness Center. It turned out to be an even more extraordinary weekend than I could possibly have anticipated. More about that in another blog post. This post is dedicated to the super squiggle-line ladies who attended the workshop and worked diligently without complaint for two full days. I want to share some of the squiggle-line drawings these ladies created, spending hardly more than thirty minutes dancing their fountain pens across the paper. They are amazing! Scroll to the bottom of the blog to see larger images of each drawing.
And here are the remarkable ladies …

You can see that the drawings were not very small. That is a lot of squiggling to create the variation of values to create the illusion of form. Well done!
Kathy adding more squiggles to create the darker, shadow value.
