All twelve roses are gorgeous … I drew only three.
I added a touch of blue and darkened the underside of the handle as well as the lumpy china where the handle attaches to the vase. I also darkened, only slightly, the upper rim of the vase. The third little change I made was to add a touch of blue to the middle decorative line around the vase. Notice the difference in the illusion of form with just those three little changes. Little changes can make a huge difference.
