Thanks to a nudge from another artist, I finally signed up for my first online tutorial ….. Storytelling at SketchbookSkool.com, a remarkably well constructed site for taking online classes. Fitting this into my already overwhelming schedule is a challenge, and well worth it.
Ink and Watercolor in Moleskin Watercolor Sketchbook – Kitchen Geometry – Illustrated directions for creating a circular pattern using apple slices. I used a limited palette of cadmium red light, alizarin crimson, phthalo blue and aureolin. The ink drawing was done with two different Sheaffer Fountain Pens. One was filled with Sheaffer ink cartridge (a lot of bleed) and the other with Noodler’s Black (very little bleed).
