I’m back in Mountain View after an exceptional week of teaching and painting with friends who continue to introduce me to great locations, new books, new friends as well as painting materials, techniques and thoughts on life as an artist. I am fortunate to live a life of adventure flavored with amazing friendships.
I had a two-mile walk back to Mike’s place after returning my rental car this morning. At the first traffic light on the walk back, the skies opened, drenching me in a matter of minutes. California needs rain. Leaves floated on puddles like lost sailboats. Reflections layered upon dim shadows. Water dropped from branches into puddles, creating crystal clear bubbles that vanished as quickly as they appeared.
Today is a perfect day for editing a few more short videos and sorting through sketches of the last week to share in a day or two before heading back to the mountains to ParaPaint.
