With a minimum of art supplies and a few basic sketching techniques you can capture the world around you whether in a local grocery store, on the Métro in Paris or hiking Mount Diablo. I will share the techniques I find most useful as well as the art tools that make it possible for me to travel anywhere on plane or foot (for a weekend or a month) with only a carry-on bag and a personal bag. 3. Watercolor paints (one red, one yellow and one blue … of your choice)
4. Kneaded eraser
5. Fountain pen and/or fine tip marker (either water soluble or permanent … or both)
6. Waterbrush and/or travel brush (if you don’t have either, bring a watercolor brush. I use size 6 and size 8.
