When stepping out of my comfort zone I find myself in unfamiliar territory and begin a journey to find solutions for solving familiar challenges in unfamiliar ways. My goal is to constantly push my drawings and paintings to a higher, more competent and expressive level. My thoughts along this journey are often incomplete, my experiments leading me to dead ends. It is only when I look back a month or two, a year or two, that I see none of the effort has been wasted. Every question was worth asking, every ugly painting worth creating, every experiment worth trying. This section of my website is where I occasionally share some of my unanswered questions and thoughts, as an artist, that don’t belong anywhere else. Links to these journal entries are in the drop down list for this page (Ponderings) under the “About” tab at the top of the website.
