Focus was on actual use of color charts and color scheme choices as they apply to capturing the atmospheric light conditions. I used the collection of small Maryland paintings from September as examples of changing light throughout the day as well as comparing the light and color of cloudy days as compared to sunny days.
When the light sources are identified and the palette is chosen, colors can easily be exaggerated and modified to express the mood or emotions of the painter.
There will not be a workshop held in December. The Monthly Workshop will start up again in January.
