An unexpected treat awaited me in Sebastopol, California.
Susan Cornelis and I ventured out into the night to paint in the dark at Hopmonk Tavern in Sebastopol. We sat at a small, round table against the wall. As Susan described it, we were “thirty years older and invisible” to the crowd. For the two of us, it was perfect.
Fortunately, I packed my retractable dip pen, vial of black ink and the vial holder.
A few of the paintings from the evening:
Sketches: Drawn first with a dip pen, capturing the energy of the moment, followed by strokes of watercolor.
A great night out! Thanks for joining me, Susan!
