Early morning view from my front porch. To blind myself to the colors in front of me and paint only thinking of value continues to be a challenge, but one well worth accepting. The exercise might be easier using acrylic paint so that less mixing of pigment occurs on the canvas. It is difficult in oil to apply a fresh touch of light yellow over a dark area for an accent of light hitting a branch.
