I’m amazed at what I find in the top drawer of my dresser. It’s not as if I haven’t sorted through my dresser since I stopped ice climbing. In fact, I’ve moved at least four times since I last wore these goggles. Hmmmmmm.
Sometimes going one step further breathes a great deal of depth and expression into a sketch. I little bit of splatter, a light wash of grayed violet and a few strokes of neutralized amber across the lenses brings the sketch to life.
Glacier Goggles: drawn first in ink with a fountain pen followed by watercolor.
Maybe I’ll have to plan to cross a glacier later this year.
