Before life gets too complicated again I started work on illustrating the wildflowers I saw at Sea Ranch in California last May. Of course, I started with a plant I can’t identify with certainty.
The little pink flowers look identical to the Bearberry Manzanita or Kinnikinnick ( Arcostaphylos uva-ursi), but the leaves are wrong: they are pointed rather than rounded.
Does anyone know what this is? I can’t find anything online that shows the long pointed things beneath what I think will be a berry.
