Exercise Two – Part Three – Changing the Value of Shapes
Part One Review:
Closed Form line drawing applying value to the shapes using a different medium than was used in Exercise One. Focus was on the shapes and how they work with one another. Notice how adjacent shapes with close values can visually merge to create a new shape that dominates over the two smaller shapes that create it.
Part Two Review:
Closed Form line drawing of two or more objects. Apply value to the shapes to connect the objects, making use of shadow shapes.
Part Three : Changing Values of Shapes
Draw two similar closed form drawings of the same object. Somewhat arbitrarily, apply value to the shapes to create two different visual effects. Repeat with several other objects and compare, noticing your preferences.
