Delighted by Dragons
My recent trip to Seattle began and ended with a dragon. The first hung from the ceiling at the Uwajimaya Market in the International District. The second was the Komodo Dragon at the Woodland Park Zoo. It kept me company during a hail storm earlier in the week. On my last day I returned to the zoo for one last wink from the dragon.

Tomorrow morning I head to Maryland to teach a workshop in Salisbury. This will be the first of the new workshops introducing mandalas as a pleasant way to explore color and design while fine-tuning drawing skills. The polyhedra and flexigons will be saved for another time (unless my arm gets twisted to give a quick demo on constructing them). As expected, the little three-dimensional treasures delighted curious observers in Seattle.
