The results of yesterday’s Color Scheme Game – You Choose – Week 6 are shown below.
Barbara was the first to reply. Cathy made an excellent suggestion to give the artists on the West Coast equal opportunity to be the first to reply when the line drawing is posted each week. I opted to paint both Barbara’s choices and Cathy’s. Everyone who sent me choices received a printable file of the line drawing and I am hoping that I will receive more images, with different choices, to add to yesterday and today’s post.
The pigments I used were: Cadmium Red Light, Gamboge, Aureolin, Ultramarine Blue and Alizarin Crimson
There is only one option that included Yellow-Green in the color scheme and it is shown in the photo above.
Cathy Inzer wrote to me about posting so early in the morning, East Coast time. I agree that an early posting of the line drawing puts the West Coast artists at a disadvantage. I’ve decided to post the line drawing each week no earlier than noon. I opted to paint Cathy’s choices as a thank you for helping to improve the playing of the game as a collaborative effort.
There are several options I could choose from that include Red-Orange as a hue in the color scheme.
I chose the option on the lower right. I used more blues than usual to make slight neutralized variations of the Red-Orange. My palette was Cadmium Red Light, Gamboge, Aureolin, Cobalt Turquoise, Cobalt Blue and Manganese Blue.
Thanks to everyone who sent me choices. I have emailed all of you a printable file of the line drawing and will post your images as I receive them.
