A fabulous day in New York City! I taught a Color Scheme Game Workshop at N.A.W.A. (National Association of Women Artists). A delightful group of women attended, curious, open to a new way of thinking about color and willing to experiment.
They didn’t even complain when I presented a brief science lesson!
Next time I’ll use props as pigment particles rather than my fists.
As quickly as possible, I left the science lesson behind and we began to play……
Colors were mixed, dice were thrown, brains were challenged and smiles were shared around the table. Gorgeous colors were created from a limited palette of three tubes of paint: one yellow, one red and one blue.
We’re already planning our next NAWA workshop! I look forward to hearing the how each of the women incorporates the game into her own work. I want to thank all of them for taking the time to come and play with me!
