As I sifted through folders finding image files to upload to my new website at the new home for chriscarterart.com, I came across paintings I had forgotten.
For the past three days my hand has felt glued to the mouse rather than the brush. I’ve slept only a few hours, yet I have a smile of satisfaction on my face. I love the new website. It has kinks to work out, but the possibilities are almost infinite. Finally, I am able to present the diversity of my work and my journey as an artist in a clean, clear manner.
Why did I go back to the drawing board and start again? I want to offer demos and online workshops for those who follow my blog and live too far away to attend any of the workshops that are currently being scheduled across the country. For those who attend the workshops, you will be able to go my website and review some of the techniques you learned.
I am thankful to my dear friend, Joanie, who planted the seed in my brain to do this now, not to wait until my other website contract expires. Joanie also recommended Adam to host and help with my new site. Within two weeks I’m up and running pretty smoothly! I can’t say enough about Adam and Andrew at webhostinglogic.com.
I’m at the stage where I’m trying to configure the store area and attempting to make subscribing to this new blog (as well as my own transition to this blog) as painless as possible.
The journey continues …….
