October 21, 2016
October is my favorite month of the year. I returned from Europe in time to see the trees change, to feel the autumn wind on my face and to smell the earth preparing for winter. Over the next few months I will share some of my experiences in France, England and Wales. It was a time of challenging myself and a time to refine my vision of the next few years. With each trip my wanderlust grows stronger. I make new friends with whom I want to spend more time. My eyes open to new cultures, new food, new plants and new technologies. History comes to life as I walk upon tiled floors that have been walked upon for centuries.
I will share with you my attempt to bring figures back into my work and to create multi-layers of illusions that can be pieced together by the viewer to create a unique story with each glance. Though I have a direction, I have not limited myself to a destination.
