Friends and students ask how I integrate art into the rest of my life. For me, there is no division between the two. My abstract work is an expression of my inner life. The rest of my work is an expression of my outer life, my public and private life as a mother, lover, teacher, friend and stranger. I try to show glimpses of my life as an artist on my blogs by posting images along with a brief paragraph. Here I will post longer anecdotes, providing a photo/painting journal of how life inspires my art and how my art inspires me to have adventures I wouldn’t have had otherwise. I hope you enjoy these occasional tales of the extraordinary people I meet as well as the ordinary days that transform into something totally different when I take brush in hand.
Links to the anecdotes are on the drop down list for this page (Anecdotes) under the “ABOUT” tab at the top of my website.
